          By using shortcuts keys we will reduce our work-time and make it easier to work in any application. We can do all the tasks with mouse also, but it reduces our productivity and also it takes more time to complete the work. Here we will discuss about important shortcuts & keyboard commands of MS PowerPoint. These shortcuts are MS PowerPoint built-in commands. These shortcut keys are definitely helpful for you.

 Working with Presentation 
PowerPoint Keyboard Shortcuts Description
Ctrl+N To create a new presentation(ppt).
Ctrl+M To insert a new slide.
Ctrl+D To get a duplicate selected slide.

To open a presentation.
Ctrl+W To close the presentation.
Ctrl+P

To print presentation.

Ctrl+F To find the text.
Ctrl+H To replace text.
Ctrl+K To insert a hyperlink.
Ctrl+Z It undo an action.
Ctrl+Y It redo or repeat an action.
Alt+F4 To Exit or Quit from PowerPoint.
Shift+F4 It repeats the Last Find action.
F6 It will switch to the next pane.
Shift+F6 It will switch to the previous pane.
Esc To cancel an action.
F12 To perform 'Save as' action.
Alt+F11 It will display visual basic code.

 Text Operation Commands

Ctrl+Backspace To delete one word at a time from the left side of cursor.
Ctrl+Delete To delete one word at a time from the right side of cursor.
Ctrl+X To cut selected text or element.
Ctrl+C To copy selected text or element.
Ctrl+V To paste the cut/copy objects from the clipboard.
Ctrl+ To move cursor one word to the left.
Ctrl+ To move cursor one word to the right.
Ctrl+E To align the paragraph in center.
Ctrl+J To Justify the paragraph.
Ctrl+L To align the paragraph to the left.
Ctrl+R To align the paragraph to the right.
Ctrl+T To format font style.
Ctrl+B To apply bold text format.
Ctrl+U To apply underline in a text.
Ctrl+I To apply italic text format.
Ctrl+= To apply Subscript text format.
Ctrl+Space To remove manual character formatting.
Ctrl+Tab To insert a Tab in a table cell.
Ctrl+Shift+P To change font size.
Ctrl+Shift+> To increase font size.
Ctrl+Shift+< To decrease font size.
Ctrl+Shift++ To apply Superscript text format.
Ctrl+Shift+C To copy formats.
Ctrl+Shift+V To paste formats.
Shift+F3 To change the letter case like UPPERCASE, lowercase.....
Shift+F7 It will perform spell checking operation.
Alt+Shift+ To promote a paragraph.
Alt+Shift+ To demote a paragraph.
Alt+Shift+ To move the selected paragraph upward.
Alt+Shift+ To move the selected paragraph downward.
Tab To add a new row at the bottom of the table.
F7 To check spelling.

 Selection Operation Commands

Ctrl+A(In slide pane) To select all objects.
Ctrl+A(In slide sorter view) To select all slides.
Ctrl+A(In text field) To select all text.
Ctrl+ To move up one paragraph.
Ctrl+ To move down one paragraph.
Enter To select text within a selected object.
End It move the cursor at the end of the line.

To select next object.
Home It move the cursor at the beginning of the line.

Ctrl+Mouse Wheel To zoom.
Ctrl+D To get the duplicate of selected shape.
Ctrl+Arrow keys To move the selection in arrow specific direction.
Ctrl+G To grouping objects.
Ctrl+Shift+G It will ungroup the objects.
Shift+F9 To show or hide Grid.
Alt+F9 To show or hide Guides.
Ctrl+G To do changes in Grid or Guide settings. 
Alt+U → Ctrl+Enter It will show Autoshape Menu and insert shape.
Hold Shift key and start drawing figure To create prefect square.
Double click corresponding toolbar icon It will draw multiple similar figure.
F4 To repeat last action.
F10 To activate Menu bar.
Shift+F10 or Window special key Context menu.

 Commands to Control SlideShows 
PowerPoint Keyboard Shortcuts Description
Shift+F5 To start Slideshow from the current slide.
F5 To start Slideshow from beginning.
number+Enter Go to slide[Number]
B (or) . It will display a black screen, or return to Slideshow from black screen.
W (or) , It will display a white screen, or return to Slideshow from white screen.
Shift or + To stop or Restart automatic slideshow.
Esc

Ctrl+break

To Stop or End the slideshow.
Enter, Pagedown, →, ↓, Space or mouse click To perform Next Animation or Advance ToNext slide.
P, PageUp, ←, ↑, or Backspace To perform previous Animation or Return to previous Slide.
E To Erase On-Screen Annotations.
H Go to next Hidden Slide.
T To set new timing while Rehearsing.
O Use original timing while Rehearsing.
M Use Mouse-Click to advance while Rehearsing.

To go to the first slide.
Ctrl+P To Re-display the hidden Pointer
and /or change the Pointer to a Pen.
Ctrl+A To Re-display the hidden Pointer and /or/change the Pointer to a Arrow.
Ctrl+H To hide the Pointer and Button immediately.
Ctrl+U To hide the Pointer and Button in 15 seconds.
